Following is the transcript of UN Secretary-General António Guterres’ press conference with Inger Andersen, Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), at the launch of the UNEP report titled “Making Peace with Nature:  A scientific blueprint to tackle the climate, biodiversity and pollution emergencies”, in New York today:

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres today announced the appointment of Khardiata Lo N’Diaye of Senegal as his new Deputy Special Representative for Sudan with the United Nations Integrated Transition Assistance Mission in Sudan (UNITAMS), serving also as the United Nations Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator.

Following is UN Secretary-General António Guterres’ message, as delivered by Rosemary A. DiCarlo, Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs, to the organizational meeting of the 2021 session of the Special Committee on Decolonization, today:

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres announced today the appointment of Usha Rao-Monari of India as Under-Secretary-General and Associate Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has appointed David Gressly of the United States as the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Yemen, with the host Government’s approval.  Mr. Gressly will also serve as Humanitarian Coordinator.

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has appointed Peter Grohmann of Germany as the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Mexico, with the host Government’s approval.
