The Secretary-General has read the report of Mr. Connor’s investigation team with great care.  He accepts its findings and has authorized the release of the report to the press.

SECRETARY-GENERAL APPOINTS DYSANE ABDALLAH DORANI DIRECTOR

OF UNITED NATIONS INFORMATION CENTRE IN CAIRO

Secretary-General Kofi Annan has appointed Mr. Dysane Dorani, a national of Djibouti, as Director of the United Nations Information Centre in Cairo, Egypt. Mr. Dorani assumed his duties on 1 August.
