It is with sadness that I have accepted the resignation of my Deputy Chef de Cabinet, Ms. Elisabeth Lindenmayer, effective immediately.

SECRETARY-GENERAL CONCERNED TOGO’S POWER TRANSFER NOT DONE


‘IN FULL RESPECT’ OF CONSTITUTION


The Secretary-General is concerned that the transfer of power that has taken place in Togo following the death of President Eyadema has not been done in full respect of the provisions of the Constitution.


The Secretary-General re-emphasizes the need for constitutionality and respect for the rule of law.
