Following is the text of the joint statement issued in Gleneagles today by the Group of Eight + Brazil, South Africa, Mexico, India, China, United Nations, International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Bank, and World Trade Organization (WTO) on the 7 July London bombings:
United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan, accompanied by his wife Nane, arrived in Edinburgh on Thursday, 30 June, on the first leg of a mission that was also taking him to the African Union and the G-8 summits.
