Following is the text of the Dag Hammarskjöld Lecture entitled Dag Hammarskjöld and the 21st Century, delivered today by Secretary-General Kofi Annan in Uppsala, Sweden:
On Monday, 3 September, the Secretary-General travelled from Kisangani in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, to Kigali, Rwanda.
The Secretary-General left Durban, South Africa, on Saturday, 1 September. On his way to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), his plane stopped at Lusaka, Zambia, to refuel.
Secretary-General Kofi Annan arrived in Durban from Austria on Wednesday morning, 28 August.
