Following is UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon’s statement, issued 27 November, on the presidential and National Assembly elections in the Democratic Republic of the Congo:
United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, accompanied by Madam Ban Soon‑taek, arrived in the province of Central Kalimantan in Borneo, Indonesia, in the morning of Thursday, 17 November. His first stop there was at a health clinic, where he immunized a child against polio and met with pregnant women and health workers.
United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, accompanied by Madam Ban Soon‑taek, arrived in Bangkok, Thailand, from Bangladesh shortly before noon on Wednesday, 16 November.
