Following is UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon’s message on World Diabetes Day, observed on 14 November:
On 11 November 2016, the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 1970 (2011) concerning Libya enacted the amendments specified with strikethrough and underline in the entries below on its List (the Libya Sanctions List) of individuals and entities subject to the assets freeze and travel ban set out in paragraphs 15 and/or 17 of Security Council resolution 1970 (2011) and/or paragraph 19 of resolution 1973 (2011), adopted under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations:
Holding to its long-standing tradition of approving texts without a vote, the Sixth Committee (Legal) concluded the work of its seventy-first session today by taking action on 10 resolutions, one request for observer status and a draft decision on programme planning.
