On 6 September 2019, the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 2127 (2013) concerning the Central African Republic enacted the amendments specified with underline in the entry below on its Sanctions List of individuals and entities subject to the assets freeze and travel ban set out in paragraphs 9 and 16 of Security Council resolution 2399 (2018) as renewed by resolution 2454 (2019), adopted under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations.

At its third formal meeting on 30 August 2019, the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 1970 (2011) concerning Libya held a discussion with representatives to the United Nations of Libya, Algeria, Bahrain, Chad, Cyprus, Egypt, Greece, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Mali, Malta, Morocco, Niger, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, the Syrian Arab Republic, Tunisia, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates to strengthen the dialogue on the effective implementation of the sanctions measures (arms embargo, travel ban, assets freeze and measures in relation to attempts to illicitly export petroleum) imposed by the Security Council in relation to Libya.
On 23 August 2019, the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 2140 (2014) held informal consultations to consider the midterm update of the Panel of Experts, submitted in accordance with paragraph 6 of resolution 2456 (2019).
