ENVIRONMENTAL STUDY OF OCCUPIED TERRITORIES TO BE UNDERTAKEN BY UNEP


CARTAGENA, Colombia, 15 February (UNEP) -- A decision to assess the environmental situation in the occupied Palestinian territories has been taken at a meeting of the Governing Council of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), meeting this week in special session in the Colombian city of Cartagena.

ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL COUNCIL TOLD


At a round-table discussion held today, as part of preparations for this year’s high-level segment of the Economic and Social Council’s substantive session, it was agreed that education for all was the best investment a country could make for its development.
