FIFTH COMMITTEE CONCLUDES CONSIDERATION OF REPORTS ON 2002-2003 BUDGET,
REVIEW OF ADMINISTRATIVE, FINANCIAL FUNCTIONING OF UNITED NATIONS
On Sunday afternoon, 20 October, the Secretary-General and his party traveled to Bishkek to begin an official visit to Kyrgyzstan.
At midday on Friday, 18 October, Secretary-General Kofi Annan flew to Tashkent, Uzbekistan, becoming the first United Nations Secretary-General to visit that country.
On Thursday afternoon, 17 October, Secretary-General Kofi Annan arrived in Astana, Kazakhstan’s new capital.
