On 8 April 2022, the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 1591 (2005) concerning the Sudan met to hear a briefing by the Panel of Experts on the Sudan on the Panel’s work programme for 2022-2023.

On 1 April, United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres appointed Jose Barahona of Spain as the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Djibouti, with the host Government’s approval.

On 4 April, United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres appointed George Wachira of Kenya as the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Eswatini, with the host Government’s approval.
