On 2 May 2012, the Security Council Al-Qaida Sanctions Committee decided to remove the names of the individuals below from the Al-Qaida Sanctions List after concluding its consideration of two de-listing requests submitted through the Ombudsperson established pursuant to Security Council resolution 1904 (2009), and after considering the Comprehensive Reports of the Ombudsperson on these de-listing requests.
The Economic and Social Council will hold a Youth Forum on 4 May from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the ECOSOC Chamber at Headquarters, New York, on the theme “Creating a Sustainable Future: Empowering Youth with Better Job Opportunities”.
On 16 April 2012, by its presidential statement (S/PRST/2012/13), the Security Council agreed to adjust the measures imposed by paragraph 8 of resolution 1718 (2006), as modified by resolution 1874 (2009). The Security Council further directed the Committee established pursuant to resolution 1718 (2006) to undertake these tasks and to report to the Security Council within 15 days.

NEW YORK, 1 May (Division for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea) ― Pursuant to General Assembly resolution 66/231 of 24 December 2011, the Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf held its twenty-ninth session at United Nations Headquarters from 19 March to 27 April 2012. The plenary part of the session was held from 9 to 20 April.
