Following is UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon’s message, as delivered by Shun-ichi Murata, Deputy Executive Director, Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, to the forty-fifth Pacific Islands Forum, in Palau, today:

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon today announced the appointment of Major General Martin Chomu Tumenta (Cameroon) as the Force Commander of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic.

On 30 July 2014, the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 1718 (2006) approved updates to the list of entities and individuals.
