United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has appointed Amakobe Sande of Kenya as the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Eritrea, with the host Government’s approval.

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, following consultations with the Chairpersons of the regional groups of Member States, requested the General Assembly to confirm Rebeca Grynspan of Costa Rica as the next Secretary-General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).  The General Assembly confirmed the nomination on 11 June 2021.

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres today announced the appointment of Bernardo Mariano Joaquim Junior of Mozambique as Chief Information Technology Officer, Assistant Secretary-General, Office of Information and Communications Technology at United Nations Headquarters in New York.
