United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon announced the appointment of Kaarina Immonen of Finland as his Deputy Special Representative in the Central African Republic. Ms. Immonen will also serve as United Nations Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator.

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon announced today the appointment of Major General Leonard Muriuki Ngondi of Kenya as the Force Commander for the United Nations Mission in Liberia (UNMIL).

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has appointed Aeneas Chapinga Chuma of Zimbabwe as his Deputy Special Representative for Recovery and Governance of the United Nations Mission in Liberia. Mr. Chuma will also serve as the United Nations Resident Coordinator, Humanitarian Coordinator and Resident Representative.
