Palestinian Rights Committee Elects Officers, Hears from Palestine Permanent Observer

The Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People met this morning to elect officers and hear remarks by the Permanent Observer of the State of Palestine, Riyad Mansour.

According to the President’s notes, Gerardo Peñalver Portal (Cuba), Arrmanatha Christiawan Nasir (Indonesia), Neville Melvin Gertze (Namibia) and Jaime Hermida Castillo (Nicaragua) were elected by acclamation as Vice-Presidents of the Bureau, as was Ahmad Faisal Muhamad (Malaysia), who will also serve as Rapporteur.
