New Permanent Representative of Saint Kitts and Nevis Presents Credentials

The new Permanent Representative of Saint Kitts and Nevis to the United Nations, Mutryce Williams, presented her credentials to UN Secretary-General António Guterres today.
Prior to her appointment, she had advised Prime Minister and Labour Party leader Terrance Drew on various matters, while teaching at Collin College as Professor of Government.
From August 2022 to August 2023, she served as Special Adviser to the Prime Minister on government appointees and government structures during the transition process, also providing critical advice and support in the areas of national security, diplomacy and international relations.
Between 2015 and 2023, she served as Senior Political Adviser to the Leader of the Labour Party, assisting with the development of political strategies for Mr. Drew in several elections.
From 2022 to 2023, she served as Head Judge for evaluating United States Academic Decathlon finalists.
She was also delegate representative to the Executive Board of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) — Group of Experts on Financial and Administrative Matters from 2006 to 2009.
From 2006 to 2007, she served on the Saint Kitts and Nevis Electoral Reform Process — Electoral Reform Consultative Committee. Before that, she was a business and marketing specialist on the Saint Kitts Sugar Manufacturing Transition Management Team, assisting the country’s transition from a sugar-based industry to a sustainable State.
She holds a PhD in public policy administration from Walden University, a master’s degree in politics from the University of Dallas and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Midwestern State University, all in the United States.
Fluent in English, she also has working knowledge of Spanish and French.
