Security Council Committee on Somalia Considers Final Report of Its Expert Panel

On 7 October 2022, the Security Council Committee pursuant to resolution 751 (1992) concerning Somalia (“the Committee”) held informal consultations to consider the final report of the Panel of Experts on Somalia, submitted pursuant to paragraph 41 of resolution 2607 (2021).

Committee members expressed appreciation and support for the work of the Panel.  Of the 18 recommendations contained in the report, 12 were addressed to the Committee.  Committee members are currently considering those recommendations.

The final report was transmitted to the Security Council on 13 October 2022.
