Secretary-General Appalled by Deadly Shooting Attack in Hanau, Germany

The following statement was issued today by the Spokesman for UN Secretary-General António Guterres:

The Secretary-General was appalled to learn of the shooting in Hanau, Germany, on 19 February.

He extends his deepest condolences to the families of the victims as well as the Government and people of the Federal Republic of Germany.  He wishes a speedy recovery to those injured.
