Secretary-General Condemns Bombing in Bahrain

The following statement was issued today by the Spokesman for UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon:

The Secretary-General condemns the bomb attack on 28 July in the village of Sitra, Bahrain, which reportedly killed two policemen and injured several others.  The Secretary-General conveys his deep condolences to the Government and people of Bahrain and the families of the victims and wishes a swift recovery to the injured.  He calls for a full and transparent investigation into this terrorist act.
