The new Permanent Representative of Canada to the United Nations, David Lametti, presented his credentials to UN Secretary-General António Guterres today.

The new Permanent Representative of Seychelles to the United Nations, Vivianne Simone Fock Tave, presented her credentials to UN Secretary-General António Guterres today.

The United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres, returned to Belém, Brazil, early in the afternoon of Monday, 17 November. 

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres announced today the appointment of Lieutenant General Ganesh Kumar Shrestha of Nepal as his new Force Commander in the United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA).

The following statement was issued today by the Spokesman for UN Secretary-General António Guterres:

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres appointed Hanny Cueva-Beteta of Peru as the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Paraguay, effective 30 November 2025.

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres appointed Stefan Priesner of Austria as the United Nations Resident Coordinator in India, with the host Government’s approval.  He took up his post on 1 December 2025.

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres appointed Fatou Aminata Lo Diop of Senegal as the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Gabon, with the host Government’s approval.  She took up her post on 30 November.
