Security Council Sanctions Committee Concerning Central African Republic Convenes Meeting with Member States in Connection with Expert Panel Midterm Report

On 30 March 2023, the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 2127 (2013) concerning the Central African Republic held a briefing to Member States in connection with the midterm report of the Panel of Experts dated 10 February 2023 (document S/2023/87).

At the outset, the Coordinator of the Panel of Experts highlighted the main findings of the midterm report and provided updates since its publication.  Representatives of the Central African Republic, regional States and other interested Member States participated in the briefing and also provided their reactions to information contained in the Panel’s midterm report.

Member States further encouraged the holding of such briefings in the future and commended the Committee for its outreach efforts particularly to Member States of the region.
