Organization Must Evolve to Become Ever More Dynamic, Effective, Secretary-General Says in Twentieth-Anniversary Message for United Nations System Staff College

Following is UN Secretary-General António Guterres’ message for the twentieth anniversary of the United Nations System Staff College today:

I am pleased to congratulate the United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC) on its twentieth anniversary.

For two decades, the UNSSC has trained thousands of people across the United Nations family and the multilateral community at large.  The Staff College has brought together colleagues from around the world to learn from one another and help develop innovative responses to today’s complex challenges.

As we look forward, our Organization must evolve to become ever more dynamic and effective.  That is the spirit of my report on Our Common Agenda — to forge a United Nations focused on impact, lifelong learning and continuous improvement.

I commend the Staff College for its commitment to serving the United Nations family and its partners in our mission to deliver a more peaceful, sustainable and equitable world.
