Members of 1518 Sanctions Committee concerning Iraq Meet with INTERPOL’s Special Representative to United Nations

On 12 February 2019, the members of the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 1518 (2003) (Iraq) met with Emmanuel Roux, Special Representative of the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) to the United Nations.

Members of the Committee had a constructive exchange with the Special Representative in terms of possible modes of cooperation between the Committee and INTERPOL, including the issuance of United Nations-INTERPOL Special Notices regarding individuals and entities on the Committee’s sanctions list.
