Secretary-General Condemns Deadly Attack in Belgium

The following statement was issued today by the Spokesman for UN Secretary-General António Guterres:

The Secretary-General condemns the attack that killed two police officers and a civilian in Liege, Belgium, on Tuesday.  He extends his condolences to the families of the victims, the people and the Government of Belgium and wishes those injured a speedy recovery.

The United Nations stands in solidarity with Belgium in its fight against terrorism and violent extremism.
