Security Council 2374 Committee Holds Meeting to Hear Statements from Mali, Regional States

On 21 November 2018, the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 2374 (2017) concerning Mali, held informal consultations to hear statements by Mali and States of the region.  The meeting was held in advance of the planned Committee Mission to Mali.

During the meeting, the representatives of Mali and the States of the region stressed the importance of strengthening regional and international cooperation for the implementation of the sanctions regime and the Agreement on Peace and Reconciliation in Mali, as well as for improving the security situation.  They further expressed their full support to the work of the Committee.
