Security Council 2140 Committee Considers Midterm Update of Panel of Experts

On 10 August 2018, the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 2140 (2014) held informal consultations to consider the midterm update of the Panel of Experts on Yemen, submitted in accordance with paragraph 6 of resolution 2402 (2018).

The Committee heard a presentation by the Coordinator of the Panel of Experts.  The presentation was followed by an interactive discussion between Committee members and the Coordinator.

Subsequently, the Committee discussed the 12 recommendations contained in the midterm update and the ad hoc case study on attacks on commercial vessels in the Red Sea, submitted previously by the Panel, and will be considering follow-up actions on these recommendations.
