Chair of Security Council 2374 Committee Briefs Members on His Visit to Bamako, Mali, 26-27 March

On 8 June 2018, the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 2374 (2017) concerning Mali held informal consultations to hear a briefing by the Chair on his visit to Mali, from 26 to 27 March 2018.

The visit provided an opportunity for the Committee to engage with the national authorities and to receive briefings on the political and security situation in Mali and the Sahel, including implementation of the Agreement on Peace and Reconciliation in Mali.

The briefing was followed by an interactive discussion by Committee members on the recommendations contained in the Chair’s trip report.
