Economic and Social Council Elects Italy to Organizational Committee of Peacebuilding Commission

The Economic and Social Council today elected by acclamation Italy to the Organizational Committee of the Peacebuilding Commission.  Italy will represent the Western European and other States and complete the term vacated by Sweden, ending on 31 December.

The Council will meet again at a date and time to be announced.
