New Permanent Representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina Presents Credentials

The new Permanent Representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the United Nations, Ivica Dronjić, presented his credentials to UN Secretary‑General António Guterres today.

Prior to his latest appointment, he had since February 2017 headed the United Nations Department at his country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, coordinating activities of its Permanent Missions to the United Nations in New York, Vienna and Geneva.

From August 2016, Mr. Dronjić was the Head of the Ministry’s Department for Coordination of Activities with the Security Council, having served as Deputy Permanent Representative, Minister Counsellor, at his country’s Mission to the United Nations in Geneva from November 2012.

From February 2010, he was Minister Counsellor, Special Adviser, at the Special Unit for Coordination of Activities of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Security Council and from September 2006, was Deputy Permanent Representative, Minister Counsellor, at his country’s Mission to the United Nations in Vienna.

The holder of a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Dronjić began his career as a diplomat in 2002.
