Special Committee on Peacekeeping Operations Approves Draft Report, Working Methods Text, Concluding 2017 Session

Concluding its work today, the Special Committee on Peacekeeping Operations approved the draft report of its 2017 session (document A/AC.121/2017/L.3).

Acting without a vote, the Special Committee also approved a draft decision (document A/AC.121/2017/L.4) on working methods.

Mohammed Halima (Egypt), Special Committee Rapporteur, introduced the draft report, which lays out the proposals, recommendations and conclusions submitted by the panel’s Working Group of the Whole on a wide range of peacekeeping issues.

Special Committee Chair Anthony Bosah (Nigeria) made closing remarks following those actions.

The session began at Headquarters on 21 February.
