Following is the text of UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon’s video message on the launch of Arirang TV on the United Nations In-House Network, in New York on 14 July:

Hello to all the viewers of Arirang TV!  I warmly welcome this dynamic broadcaster to our United Nations In-House Network.  Arirang now takes its place with other major global news outlets.

The public deserves to know more about the work of the United Nations for peace, human rights and sustainable development.

The United Nations and the Republic of Korea have a proud history.  I am confident that this valuable engagement will grow even stronger in the future.

And I hope Arirang will be there to cover the story.  Welcome to the United Nations.  We look forward to your broadcasts.
