Security Council Al-Qaida Sanctions Committee Adds Two Names to Its Sanctions List
On 10 April 2015, the Security Council Committee pursuant to resolutions 1267 (1999) and 1989 (2011) approved the addition of the entries specified below to its Al-Qaida Sanctions List of individuals and entities subject to the assets freeze, travel ban and arms embargo set out in paragraph 1 of Security Council resolution 2161 (2014) adopted under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations:

A dangerous and active member of Al Qaida in Iraq (QDe.115) in 2004, also active in facilitating and hosting members of Ansar al-Shari’a in Tunisia (QDe.143) in Syria. Sentenced, in absentia, on 30 October 2007, to 24 years imprisonment for terrorist activities by the Appeals Court of Tunis. Father’s name is Taher Ouni Harzi, mother’s name is Borkana Bedairia.
