Press Release of Meeting of Security Council 2140 Committee on 4 November

On 4 November 2014, the Security Council’s 2140 Sanctions Committee heard introductory remarks from its Panel of Experts in relation to the information previously provided by the Panel, pursuant to paragraph 21(a) of resolution 2140 (2014), relevant to the potential designation of individuals as subject to the assets freeze and travel ban measures.

Earlier, on 31 October, the Committee received proposals, submitted by a Member State, concerning the designation of three individuals.  The Committee exchanged views on these proposals during the meeting and is considering them.
