SECURITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE UPDATES INDIVIDUAL SUBJECT

 

TO MEASURES IMPOSED BY RESOLUTION 1718 (2006)

 

On 30 July 2014, the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 1718 (2006) approved updates to the list of entities and individuals subject to the measures imposed by paragraphs 8 (d) and 8 (e) of resolution 1718 (2006) and paragraphs 8, 9 and 10 of resolution 2094 (2013):

RI JE-SON: Minister of Atomic Energy Industry since April 2014.  Former Director of the General Bureau of Atomic Energy (GBAE), chief agency directing DPRK’s nuclear program; facilitated several nuclear endeavors including GBAE’s management of Yongbyon Nuclear Research Center and Namchongang Trading Corporation. (Additional information: born 1938; also known as Ri Che-son)
