Security Council Committee Concerning Central African Republic Commences Work
On 16 January 2014, the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 2127 (2013) concerning the Central African Republic held its first meeting.
The Committee adopted guidelines for the conduct of its work.
The Committee also approved the transmission of a note verbale to all Member States, drawing their attention to paragraph 58 of resolution 2127 (2013), by which the Security Council called upon all Member States to report to the Committee within 90 days of the adoption of the resolution — that is, by 5 March 2014 — on the steps they have taken with a view to implementing effectively the arms embargo.
