Security Council Committee on Sudan Updates Guidelines

 

On 23 December 2013, the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 1591 (2005) concerning the Sudan adopted updated guidelines for the conduct of its work.  The updates bring the Committee guidelines in line with the most relevant and recent Security Council resolutions concerning the Sudan sanctions regime.

Among other purposes the guidelines, originally adopted on 26 March 2006 and revised on 27 December 2007, serve to facilitate the implementation of the sanctions measures imposed in the Security Council resolutions concerning the Sudan sanctions regime.
