Following is the text of UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon’s video and radio message in commemoration of the Lunar New Year and the Year of the Snake, released 10 February:

I am Ban Ki-moon, Secretary-General of the United Nations.

I am pleased to send my warmest greetings for the Lunar New Year.

In this Year of the Snake, let us work together in harmony for peace, prosperity and a healthy planet.
