Secretary-General Strongly Condemns Terrorist Suicide Killings in Pakistan

 

The following statement was issued on 22 December by the Spokesperson for UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon:

The Secretary-General strongly condemns the terrorist suicide bombing that killed Bashir Bilour, a prominent Pakistani politician and Senior Minister in the Government of Khyber-Pakhtunwa Province, as well as nine other people and wounded 17 more.  The Secretary-General reiterates the strong support of the United Nations for the efforts of the Government and people of Pakistan to combat the scourge of terrorism.  He conveys his sincere condolences on this tragic loss.
