Second Committee Completes Bureau for Sixty-Sixth General Assembly Session

 


The Second Committee (Economic and Financial) met this morning to fill vacant positions on its Bureau for the upcoming sixty-sixth session of the General Assembly.


It elected the following Vice-Chairs by acclamation:  Bitrus Yohanna ( Nigeria), from the Group of African States; Denis Zdorov ( Belarus), from the Group of Eastern European States; and Philippe Donckel ( Luxembourg), from the Group of Western European and Other States.  Raymond Landveld ( Suriname), from the Group of Latin American and Caribbean States, was elected as Rapporteur.


The Second Committee will meet again at 10 a.m. on Monday, 3 October.
