Secretary-General ‘Unequivocally’ Condemns Terrorist Attack in Pakistan
The following statement was issued on 25 December by the Spokesperson for UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon:
The Secretary-General was appalled to learn about a terrorist attack that took place on the morning of 25 December outside a World Food Programme (WFP) food distribution centre in the town of Khar, in the Bajur region of Pakistan, reportedly killing 45 people and injuring many others. He unequivocally condemns this abhorrent act of terrorism aimed at innocent people. The Secretary-General conveys his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and to the Government and people of Pakistan.
