Secretary-General Strongly Condemns Deadly Terrorist Attacks on Pakistan Mosques
The following statement was issued today by the Spokesperson for UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon:
The Secretary-General condemns in the strongest possible terms today’s terrorist attacks on two mosques in the north-west of Pakistan, which have reportedly left more than 70 people dead, including a number of children. The Secretary-General is dismayed by the indiscriminate killing of civilians in a place of worship, which no cause can justify. He extends his condolences to the families of the victims and to the Government and people of Pakistan.
