Secretary-General Strongly Condemns Terrorist Bombings in Pakistani

The following statement was issued today by the Spokesperson for UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon:

The Secretary-General strongly condemns the terrorist bombings in the Pakistani cities of Lahore and Quetta.  These attacks, which deliberately targeted Shiite Muslims and killed or injured scores of civilians, are unacceptable.

The Secretary-General extends his sincere condolences to the families of the victims and to the Government and people of Pakistan.
