Secretary-General Presses for Formation of Consensus Government in Nepal,
Following Resignation of Prime Minister
The following statement was issued yesterday by the Spokesperson for UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon:
Following the resignation of Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, the Secretary-General encourages all parties in Nepal to intensify their efforts towards the formation of a consensus Government that would prioritize the implementation of all peace process commitments. The Secretary-General also urges speedy progress on the issue of the integration and rehabilitation of Maoist army personnel.
