New Permanent Representative of Monaco Presents Credentials

The new Permanent Representative of Monaco to the United Nations, Isabelle Picco, presented her credentials today to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
From 1999 until her new appointment, Ms. Picco served as Deputy Permanent Representative, having risen through the ranks since 1993, when Monaco joined the United Nations. Beginning her civil service career in 1990, she worked in the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Budget, where she was in charge of legal affairs.
The holder of master’s research degrees in environmental law and international law from the University of Paris, she also has a master’s professional degree in law from the same institution.
Fluent in English, French, Italian and Spanish, Ms. Picco was born in Monaco in 1962.
