SECRETARY-GENERAL STRONGLY CONDEMNS ROCKET ATTACK NEAR UN COMPOUND IN BAGHDAD

The following statement was issued Saturday, 29 November, by the Spokesperson for UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon:

The Secretary-General is shocked and saddened by the report of this morning’s rocket attack in the proximity of the United Nations compound in Baghdad.  He strongly condemns the attack and expresses his condolences to the families of victims and wishes speedy recovery to the injured catering staff working for the United Nations.
