SECRETARY-GENERAL STRONGLY CONDEMNS DAMASCUS TERRORIST BOMBING

 

The following statement was issued today by the Spokesperson for UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon:

The Secretary-General strongly condemns the terrorist bombing on the outskirts of Damascus today which has reportedly taken the lives of 17 civilians.

He extends his condolences to the Government of Syria, the families of the victims and wishes those injured a speedy recovery.

The Secretary-General calls for the perpetrators of this crime to be brought to justice.
