In accordance with the principle of alphabetical rotation, the following are the President of the United Nations Security Council and the Chairman of the Military Staff Committee for July:

Security Council

Le Luong Minh, Permanent Representative of Viet Nam, succeeds Zalmay Khalilzad, Permanent Representative of the United States, as President of the Security Council.

Military Staff Committee

Vice Admiral Alexey Y. Mezenin ( Russian Federation) succeeds Brigadier General Dominique Trinquand ( France) as Chairman of the Military Staff Committee.
