In accordance with the principle of alphabetical rotation, the following are the President of the United Nations Security Council and the Chairman of the Military Staff Committee for June:

Security Council

Zalmay Khalilzad, Permanent Representative of the United States, succeeds John Sawers, Permanent Representative of the United Kingdom, as President of the Security Council.

Military Staff Committee

Brigadier General Dominique Trinquand ( France) succeeds Major General Liu Pei ( China) as Chairman of the Military Staff Committee.
