In accordance with the principle of alphabetical rotation, the following are the President of the United Nations Security Council and the Chairman of the Military Staff Committee for April:

Security Council

Emyr Jones Parry, Permanent Representative of the United Kingdom, succeeds Dumisani S. Kumalo, Permanent Representative of South Africa, as President of the Security Council.

Military Staff Committee

Lieutenant General Nikolay Uvarov ( Russian Federation) succeeds Brigadier General Dominique Trinquand ( France) as Chairman of the Military Staff Committee.
